the itinerary

As I began thinking of the possible places which I could visit during my trip, I started recollecting all the various projects which I had studied, read, known throughout my architectural course. I was excited that I would be able to witness and experience what I read and studied. Unknowingly, the itinerary began with listing various architectural projects which dotted the cities of Boston, Seattle and New York.

I knew I had my friends to orient me to the new cities on the first two days of stay, However, beyond that, I have to explore and visit places on my own. Navigation was made very easy with google maps, and most of us have been using it to travel even within our own cities. I decided to build my list of places on this very portal. I started pinning all the places which I wished to visit one by one. Little unsure though of how I was actually going to reach there. But I had to leave some of the decisions for the actual journey.

Being my first journey alone, I was not sure of how much to plan or how little to prepare. Do I plan my routes for each day? Where do I begin? Do I have to know the mode of transport already? Do I need to book it in advance? All these questions started springing up in my head. I was able to settle at the point - where I decided to let these things unfold as I read the city and discuss the possibilities with my friends there.

I decided to just pin all the locations first. Then as I looked at the map, it allowed me to cluster them geographically, and each day began with a new direction and ended up covering the places nearby. Some places needed prior booking, which helped me peg them first and then the exploration started around them.
